Dhaka: Pakistan's left-arm fast bowler Wahab Riaz earned a dubious distinction Tuesday as his team suffered an ignominious 140-run defeat at the hands of arch-rivals India at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur here.
Riaz conceded 86 runs from 9.2 overs for his two wickets and his figures were the worst ever by a Pakistani against India. The previous record was held by Ata-ur-Rehman (10-0-85-1) at Sharjah on April 15, 1996.
Riaz's figures are now the second worst by a bowler against India in ODIs. Bermuda's Dwayne Leverock had figures of 10-0-96-1 against India in the 2007 World Cup at Port of Spain.
