QUETTA: Two people were killed and 11 injured in two consecutive blasts occurred near City Nazim office here on Monday afternoon.
Police and security forces have cordoned off the area and ambulances were called on the spot to transfer injured to hospitals.
Reportedly, a bomb, planted in a car at parking lot of the City Nazim office, went off, resulting deaths of two men on the spot, immediately another blast occurred as people thronged the spot and police reached the scene after the first blast.
The second explosion wreaked havoc and set many vehicles on fire.
The device was made of 5 kilogram explosives, Bomb Disposal Squad said.
The area is heart of the city and high security zone as many government buildings are located there including governor house and CM house.
