SWAT: Ten extremists were killed while three were arrested in an operation by the security forces here on Monday.
According to spokesman of the Pakistan army, the security forces launched this operation in Sarsenai, an area of district Kabal in Swat.
The ISPR spokesman told that three extremists were also arrested in the operation by the security forces.
The hideouts of the extremists were hit by artillery during the operation which also killed three extremists.
The said operation was launched on reports that some of the 60 people, kidnapped on previous day, were killed.
Before the operation, the security forces had directed the inhabitants of Sarsenai to move from the area and appealed to the local people not to give shelter to the extremists and hand them over to the government.
