Fahmida Mirza Hopes Obama To Bring Change For Better
RAWALPINDI: Acting President Dr. Fehmida Mirza expressed the hope that President-elect of United States Barack Obama will bring a positive change in his country’s policies to help the world community in facing its challenges.”
Obama promised change and hopefully the change will be for better,” she said when asked to comment by newsmen on the win of Barack Obama.
She was on a visit to Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Hospital here on Wednesday to have a first hand information about the state of the major medical facility of Rawalpindi, which is catering to the needs of hundreds of patients daily.
To a question, she told that parliament came up to the expectations of the people when it adopted a unanimous resolution on the security situation in the country.
She said she was in the process of holding a round of meetings with the coalition partners of the government and opposition parties before formation of committees to hammer out constitutional solutions to the national issues including redressal of matters raised by political leadership of Balochistan.
He called law and order situation “complicated and complex” which cannot be resolved overnight.
Dr. Fahmida said the government was utilising its resources to reach with relief supplies for the quake hit people in Balochistan.
