Tehrik-e-Taliban Swat releases 25 abducted FC troops
SWAT: Tehrik-e-Taliban Swat (TTS) Monday released 25 out of 38 troops of Frontier Constabulary (FC) after 50 days of abduction on July 28 last from Devlai Check post in restive Swat District. “The shura of the TTS decides to release the FC hostages while thirteen police men are still in our custody,” said spokesman of Tehrik-e-Taliban Swat Haji Muslim Khan while talking to reporters from an undisclosed location in Swat. They were set free at an undisclosed location.
Those released are Subedar Khanzada, Jan Akbar, Gul Muhammad, Gul Nazir, Iqbal Muhammad, Gul Muhammad Doem, Nazir Baacha, Islam Faraz, Shafiqur Rehman, Alif Khan, Muhammad Zubair, Hazrat Khan, Hazrat Khan Doem, Zar Muhammad, Zar Noor, Akhtar Sher, Abid Gul, Irfanullah, Ikhtiar Gul, Saifullah, Iqrar Hassan, Wakeel Aslam, Bakht Zada, Munsif Khan and Misal Khan.
Meanwhile, a group of militants attacked a security post in Sarpasani area, which was repulsed by the forces through counter action and the attackers fled from the scene. Curfew has been imposed in the entire district including Tehsil Kabal from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Moreover, peace Jirga in district Dir has announced that the houses of those persons will be demolished, who will offer shelter to the militants.
