Rawalpindi Board announces results of HSSC Part-1

Tuesday, September 16, 2008 Rawalpindi Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE) has announced the results of Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Examination (Part-1) for year 2008 and the overall success ratio was 47 percent. Out of 39,013 male and female students, 18,575 students were declared successful by obtaining 33 per cent or more numbers. The results have been announced by RBISE Chairman Professor Dr. Iftikhar Baig during a press conference here Monday in his office. The chairman in the press conference underlined that the main objective of the announcement of the result is to provide a opportunity to students to set their targets for the examination of Part-II. Therefore, no position has been announced in the examination of part-I, he added. Responding to a question, the chairman told that after the changing in the education session by the government, the changing in the examination schedule is necessary, however, new examination schedule would be announced in a combine meeting of all the eight boards of Punjab to be held after Ramazan. The changing in the education session would not affect the education of the students, he added. He said that all the education boards have same syllabus and there is a coordination with different universities to avoid the problems facing by the students regarding getting admission in the new classes. Answering to another question, Dr. Iftikhar Baig stated that new foolproof security system would be introduced form the next year aimed to make the education system more transparent. Under the system, special lockers would be formed for carrying papers from offices of boards to examination centres. Special monitoring would be held for printing system, he added. Responding to another question, The chairman informed that the construction of new Complex of Education Board has been started and work would be awarded to firm in a board meeting to be held tomorrow (Wednesday).
