Twenty killed in Nepal bus plunge KATHMANDU: Up to 20 people were killed Monday and dozens are missing presumed dead after a packed passenger bus skidded off a mountain road and plunged into a river in Nepal. "Seventeen bodies have been pulled out of the river," local police said. The bus was carrying around 100 passengers, about half of whom were Indian nationals on a pilgrimage, according to police. "The bus fell some 100 metres (yards) off the road into the Rapti river. Thirty-two people have been rescued and are getting treatment at a nearby hospital," the police officer said. He said the bus was under water and that rescue operations were continuing.
