Islamabad: Pak, India foreign secretaries-level talks ISLAMABAD: The concluding talks of the fourth round of the Pakistan-India composite dialogue have opened in Islamabad on Tuesday. The foreign secretaries of the two countries initiated talks in the first phase in which Pakistan Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir and his Indian counterpart Shivshankar Menon led the teams of their respective countries. The eight-point agenda of the talks included confidence building measures, Kashmir, Siachen, Sir Creek, Wullar Barrage, anti-terrorism and anti-narcotics, economic cooperation and bilateral friendly exchanges. Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee will meet on Wednesday in the concluding stage of the fourth round of the composite dialogue. Pakistan has announced to release 99 Indian prisoners as goodwill gesture on the occasion. Pakistan’s Interior Advisor Rahman Malik has announced to free 96 Indian fishermen and three other prisoners on May 24 from Pakistani jails. Indian External Affairs Pranab Mukherjee has reached the federal capital to attend the talks. Indian minister is expected to meet the former prime minister and PML-N leader Mian Nawaz Sharif today.
