Rajasthan Royals win by 8 wkts
JAIPUR: Rajasthan Royals won their match against Chennai Super Kings by eight wickets in today’s second match at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur which started Sunday at 19:30.
Graeme Smith was the most prominent batsman who scored 35 runs, followed by Swapnil Asnodkar 32.
CSK’s Muttiah Muralitharan and Vidyut Sivaramakrishnan were the only two bowlers who grabbed one wicket each.
Earlier, Chennai Super Kings, in their innings, made only 109 runs in 19 overs.
Sohail Tanvir was the most prominent figure from Rajasthan Royals, who grabbed six wickets against 14 runs. Munaf Patel showed two batsmen out into pavilion. Shane Warne and Shane Watson won one wicket each.
CSK’s Albie Morkel was the highest scorer with 42 runs, followed by Suresh Raina 27.
Earlier, Chennai Super Kings won the toss and elected to bat first against Rajasthan Royals and on the very first ball, Parthiv Patel was bowled out by Sohail Tavir, followed by Stephen Fleming in the same over, who again fell a prey to the brilliance of Sohail Tanvir.
