Constitutional package ready: Federal Minister for Law, Farooq H. Naek
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Law, Farooq H. Naek Monday announced that the constitutional package has been finalized which, he said, may be tabled in the Parliament before the federal budget.
He said a number of reforms have been proposed in the package which may be presented in the Parliament before budget.
Reconstitution of Election Commission, modus operandi for re-instatement and removal of judges, and redefining of president’s powers are the major changes to be introduced through 18th amendment of the Constitution.
Farooq Naek said the constitutional package will be according to the aspirations of the people.
He said recommendations have been prepared for amendment of Article 6.

“Anyone violating the Constitution after the proposed amendements will be considered to have committed treason,” he made it clear.
