QUETTA: Hazara Democratic Party (HDP) has given a call for wheel-jam strike within the city as well as on the national highways, following three different bloody incidents this morning killing eight persons including a police constable and thereby situation in the city getting highly tense, Pakistan Paper News reported.
Enraged persons went a rampage in BMC Hospital and torched a government car parked over there, while a protest sit-in was staged in front of the Brewery police station. Meanwhile, main business centers and shops in the city preferred shutdown avoiding the wrath of the angry persons.
F.C. ten platoons have been called in view of the deteriorating law and order situation in the city. Police and ATF additional forces have also been called.
On the other hand, Hazara Democratic Party, Pashtunkhaw Milli Awami Party and Awami National Party besides other political and religious groups have condemned these gory incidents.
Tahaffuz Azadari Council has announced seven days mourning while the Balochistan Shia Conference for forty days and HDP has given a call for wheel-jam strike within the city as well as on the national highways tomorrow in protest against the unabated target killings in the province.
Balochistan Chief Minister has blamed police ineptness and negligence for these incidents. He said that action would be taken against those found involved in the incidents.
On the other hand provincial home secretary, Naseebullah Bazai told Pakistan Paper News that a new security plan has been chalked out for controlling such incidents, which would be implemented soon. He also said that he was constantly keeping an eye on the situation and any incident of target killing was not acceptable.
