ISLAMABAD: The Judges restoration committee meeting will be held today at the residence of Aitzaz Ahsan. Federal Law Minister and Head of the committee Farooq H. Naik has said that veteran lawyer Abdul Hafeez Pirzada has been included as a constitutional expert in the committee and not as President’s representative.
He said all members participated in the meeting except Justice Fakhr Uddin Jee Ibrahim and today’s meeting would be held at Chaudhery Aitzaz Ahsan’s residence at 7:30 pm. Farooq Naik said he received a letter from Fakhr Uddin Jee Ibrahim and it was discussed in the meeting.
Farooq said the committee reviewed prospects of judges restoration under the constitution and law and solution oriented discussion was held. He expressed hope that the committee would finalize its recommendations before May 12 and the same would be shared with the political leadership.
