Budget For S Punjab Uplift Lauded

Health coordinator Punjab Sheikh Tariq Rasheed has lauded the provincial budget for an allocation of Rs 52 billion for south Punjab uplift. The huge development allocation will end a sense of deprivation among people of this area, the PML-N leader said in a statement. 
He termed the plan to set up a liver transplant centre in Nishtar Hospital a revolutionary initiative that would help poor people of the area avail the facility on their doorsteps without having to travel to foreign countries.
An allocation of Rs 6 billion for the provision of medicines to the poor free has proved Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif a poor-friendly Chief Minister, he added.
He also lauded Rs 300 million for dialysis facilities, billions of rupees for mobile hospitals, besides a plan to set up four medical colleges in Punjab including one each in DG Khan and Sahiwal.
