Rossi wins Czech GP ( Motorsport)

BRNO, Czech Republic - Valentino Rossi of Italy won the Czech Grand Prix yesterday by nearly 12 seconds to extend his lead in the Moto GP standings. The Yamaha rider, who won last year's race, beat Dani Pedrosa by 11.766 seconds after starting from pole position. Toni Elias, Pedrosa's Honda teammate and fellow Spaniard, was 20.756 seconds back from Rossi in third. Rossi has 212 points in the overall standings, 50 more than Jorge Lorenzo of Spain. Casey Stoner of Australia is third with 150 points. There are six races left. Rossi finished in 43 minutes, 8.991 seconds after 22 laps on the 5..4km Brno circuit in front of about 140,000 spectators.
