KARACHI: Deputy Commissioner (South), Mustafa Jamal Qazi, in a report submitted to the Supreme Court of Pakistan, revealed that Defence Housing Authority (DHA) was squatting on hundreds of acres of land in Karachi, pakistan paper News reported.
According to sources privy to the matters, Qazi clearly mentioned in the report that the land in question had been leased to DHA without a No Objection Certificate (NOC) due to which Government of Sindh suffered losses worth billions of rupees.
The report further urged the court to ensure that government land was not leased to anyone sans the issuance of NOCs by the revenue department and collectorate of the concerned district.
